One of the things I have really been wanting to spread the word about is the grand coverup pet food companies have going on with loading all their supposedly higher end cat food with fillers and by products. For years we fed Nutmeg and Zooti, our most beloved cats, Iams and later Prescription Diet due to their special medical needs not realizing it was making them sicker and worse off than we could have imagined! We also feed them canned food for over a decade. It turns out canned cat food contains BPA, particularly any pop top canned food which is most cat cans. If your cat does not finish the food and you store it inside the can in the refrigerator even worse because now the BPA can leach into the food.
